Adelaide, designed by Kate Gagnon Osborn and published in Vintage Modern Knits, is directly inspired by Icelandic sweaters, but has been updated with a longer, closer fit, waist shaping, and short rows prior to the stranded patterning for a good fit and comfortable neckline. 

 

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: To fit 31.5 (35.5, 40.5, 44.5, 48.5, 52.5) inch bust (sweater is designed for close fit with zero ease)

YARN: The Fibre Company Terra as follows: 8 (9, 10, 11, 12, 13) skeins of MC (shown in Yarrow) and 1 skein each of CC1 (shown in Logwood Purple), CC2 (shown in Hollyhock), CC3 (shown in Fustic) and CC4 (shown in Anemone)

GAUGE: 18 stitches x 27 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on larger needle worked in rounds; 19 stitches x 25 rounds = 4 inches in yoke pattern on larger needle, worked in rounds

NEEDLES: Body: US 8 16- and 24-inch circular needles and set of double-pointed needles; ribbing: US 6 16- and 24- or 36-inch circular needles and set of double-pointed needles

NOTIONS: Stitch markers, waste yarn or spare needles for holders and tapestry needle
