Payment
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express as well as payment through PayPal. All credit card payments entered on our site are processed through our secure server.
Shipping
Domestic Shipping
All domestic orders ship via USPS Priority Mail by the next business day (excluding holidays and weekends). We charge a flat rate of $5.00 per order on orders $75.00 and below. Shipping is free on orders above $75.00. You should expect to receive your order within 3-5 business days of placing it.
Please note that a sales tax of 5% will be added to all orders shipped to a Virginia address.
International Shipping
All eligible international orders are shipped via USPS First-Class Mail International by the next business day (excluding holidays and weekends). We charge a flat rate on international orders of $12.00 and refund any excess amount if your actual shipping cost (based on weight and destination) is less than what you are charged at checkout. Orders shipped via USPS First-Class Mail International typically arrive within 1-3 weeks.
Please note that there is a 64-ounce weight limitation on orders shipped via USPS First-Class Mail International. This allows for a maximum of 12 4-ounce skeins of yarn plus packaging. If your order includes a book, that will reduce the amount of yarn that you can purchase under the weight limitation as our books weigh 1-2 pounds each. We will contact you if your package exceeds the weight limitation and give you the option of either changing your order or shipping it via USPS Priority Mail International.
NOTE: International orders shipped via USPS First-Class Mail International are not trackable or insured. Hidden Purls assumes no responsibility for packages that, once shipped, do not reach their destination using this service. If you would like your package to be trackable or insured, please contact us for a quote for shipping your order via USPS Priority Mail.
Duties and taxes may apply to orders shipped outside of the continental US and are expected by the carrier at the time of delivery. Hidden Purls has no control over taxes and duties assessed by customs or the carrier.
Additionally, we complete customs forms in accordance with applicable law to reflect the actual content and value of the item(s) purchased. We cannot mark a package as "gift" or undervalue a package's content as that would be unlawful.
Returns
Non-sale yarn purchased from us may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund. The yarn must be in new, unused and resalable condition with label affixed. Yarn that is missing its original label or that has been wound, that has picked up odors of any sort or that is covered in dirt, dust or other debris may not be returned. You must contact us via email at info@hiddenpurls.com for a return authorization number prior to shipping. Please remember to enclose a copy of your invoice with your return package. Return packages should be sent to us at Hidden Purls, P.O. Box 16359, Alexandria, VA 22302.
Please allow up to 5 business days from receipt of the return package for us to process your refund. Refunds will be for the amount of the items returned minus applicable shipping costs and discounts. If you return part of an order that qualified for free shipping and the remaining part of the order would, by itself, not qualify for free shipping, we will deduct the shipping cost from your refund. If you return your entire order and received free shipping, we will deduct the shipping cost from your refund. We will only refund shipping costs if a return is the result of our error.
Refunds are issued in the original form of payment. If you paid by credit card or through your PayPal account, we will refund your card or PayPal account the cost of the yarn. If you used a gift certificate to purchase yarn that you later return, you will receive a store credit to use toward your next purchase.
NOTE: We do not provide refunds or make exchanges on sale or closeout yarn or any books, patterns, needles or notions.
